Estos árboles centenarios son hermosas reliquias respetadas por los vecinos que generación tras generación los han visto crecer en las calles de su pueblo. Además, los tres que se encuentran junto a la iglesia cumplen una función tradicional: marcar con la floración de cada uno de ellos los momentos óptimos de siembra de diversos productos; el del medio indica el de las patatas, el del norte del maíz y el del sur de las habas.
