Un recorrido que fusiona naturaleza, historia y cultura, con vistas panorámicas, un puente romano y rutas de senderismo en un entorno impresionante.

It starts in front of the town hall of Quintela de Leirado, where you will find an information panel. The route starts by road in the direction of Xacebáns and continues along paths through beautiful woods and meadows, following the course of the river Deva to the Retortoiro bridge, a construction of Roman origin that adds a historical touch to the experience. After crossing the river, the route climbs up to Penagache, at an altitude of 1,226 metres, where the panoramic views of the Miño, Arnoia and Deva valleys are breathtaking. With an accumulated difference in altitude of 681 metres, it is of medium difficulty and is ideal for walking, horse riding, mountain biking or off-road vehicles. TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT: - During the summer, temperatures tend to be high and some sections lack shade. - Part of the route passes through a hunting reserve. - There is only one water point in Xurenzás. ELEMENTS OF INTEREST: The Sierra del Leboreiro, which rises from the valley of the river Deva, is known for its megalithic wealth, with the Mota Grande, one of the most important mámoas in the area, standing out. At Alto de Penagache, at an altitude of 1,226 metres, the views offer an exceptional panoramic view of the surrounding area. The route also allows you to visit the Xacebáns Fountain, a perfect place to rest and refresh yourself, and the Retortoiro Bridge, a historic structure of Roman origin that connects tradition and landscape. Completing the route, the Church of San Pedro de Leirado, from the 17th-18th centuries, is an architectural jewel that reflects the cultural heritage of this land. An experience that combines nature, history and culture. COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES: Quintela de Leirado offers several hiking routes, such as Ponte dos Carros, Sobreira Santo Cristo, Ruta da Cachena, Ruta do Canal and Ruta del Río Deva, ideal for discovering its nature. In the cultural sphere, the Museum of Emigration to Equatorial Guinea, a unique project that reflects the fate of local emigrants (visits by prior appointment on 988 493 500), and the O Facho Clock, stand out. The Church of San Salvador and the Peto de Ánimas in Redemuíños (18th century) are obligatory stops. Part of the Baixa Limia-Serra do Xurés Natural Park, the Aguillón and Leboreiro Mountains offer breathtaking landscapes and multiple outdoor activities, combining culture, history and nature.
