This trail takes us along the old route of the Roman Via Nova, which linked Braga with Astorga.
This trail takes us along the old route of the Roman Via Nova, which linked Braga with Astorga. About 50 meters from the bridge that crosses the Corga da Fecha stream, the path ascends parallel to the river, being possible to bathe in one of the crystal clear water pools.
Although it is not signposted on that side, it is also possible to start the route at the milestones of A Ponte Nova. In this case, the path descends along the restored part of the Via Romana XVIII and continues until 50 meters before the bridge, where it is again possible to go to Cabaniña do Curro or continue to the thermal village.
